My son is in LOVE with these trucks. So much so that I just bought him 9 more today (1 box was missing one - got it for a deal!). He now has a total of 24!! He squeeled with delight, "CARS?!", when hubby brought them home tonight. I'm such an enabler and a sucker...
Not much new in my scrapping life. I've worked a little more this week on cutie patootie's 1st year album. I'm almost done! I'm hoping to be able to post pictures of it once I'm completely finished. Then it'll be time to start book #2 for him.

Five Question Friday
2 kitty cats - Tux is my baby girl, 14 years old. I've had her that whole time too!
Hurley is my hubby's boy, 7 years old. He is such a trouble maker at times. It's like having another kid. But he is also SO good. He's a cuddler and is very well behaved with our 19 month old son. We love both of our kitties!!
2. If you could switch places with anyone in the world for one day, who would it be?
Gosh, hard one. My first inclination would be to pick someone famous, but I can't really think of who's I'd like to switch places with. So...I'm going to pick my sister-in-law, Nicole. She has a pretty awesome life. She has 4 wonderful boys at home and currently she's working on this Celebrity Apps company, so she gets to meet a lot of famous people. I could definitely do that for a day. My brother-in-law would have to switch places with hubby on that same do too though; too weird ;o)
3. What is your favorite money saving tip?
I need one!! My 19 month old is spoiled :o) He's so darn cute though, we can't help it. I'm open to suggestions for this question.
4. What do you want your kids to be when they grow up?
I'm going to have to go with the same answer: Happy. My hubby is a big advocate that happy people live a long life, no matter what. So I'd like my son to be happy most of all. He's welcome to be whatever he wants; as long as he has a college degree to go with it! ;o)
5. What is your favorite quote?
"When I die, scatter my ashes into the line-up so my husband will come visit" - Author Unknown
Hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm just starting my work week here in 911 land. I'm hoping it goes by fast though, I truly enjoyed having 3 days off with hubby and baby this week.

Five Question Friday...on Wednesday
It's only Wednesday, but I thought I'd try last week's Five Question Friday. I hope to do this again this coming Friday as well. Here it goes...
1. Do you have any nicknames and if so how did it come about?
Oh boy, do I have nicknames? I should let my hubby answer this one! ;O) The list is endless with him; he'll start with one, then that one forms into another and so on.
My favorite nickname from him would have to be, Uni
2. What is your birth order amongst your siblings?
I'm an only child.
3. In a movie of your life, who would play your significant other?
Hmmm, it would have to be a famous surfer. I'll go with Matt Beacham (hubba hubba).
4. What is currently your favorite song?
Don't laugh...Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. I love watching my little guy point the body parts he knows (all, but shoulders) and I love seeing him get SO excited when the song starts.
In adult music, gosh there's so many: Kris Allen "Live Like We're Dying", The Ataris "The Boys of Summer", just to name a couple.
5. Are you saving your money for anything right now? Big or small purchase?
I wish. We're just trying to save money in general, but that's become harder to do since buying our home. They say the first year is the hardest...I hope they're right.
Check back this Friday, Aug. 27th for another 5 Question Friday (this time on the correct day!)

Birthday Reminder Book
I signed up to this class at Big Picture Scrapbooking and finally got the time to work on the project last night while staying up late to prepare myself for my overnight shift at work. Here are the pictures:
In between each month I added a 6x6 page protector so I can place made cards inside. I also plan on putting this in a double ring 6x6 binder. I'll probably add some more embellishments to each month as well. I can't wait to start using this!

Ready...Set...Blog
I'm getting back into this blogging thing again. The last time I did this, I was sharing the 9 month journey until my son was born. Well. he's made his appearance quite a while ago, so now I've decided to start blogging about the things I enjoy doing. The title of my blog, Surfing With Scissors, is an illustration of my hobbies: I love to surf and scrapbook whenever possible. Most of the time I find myself scrapping at night, when the boys (hubby and son) have gone to bed. Below are 2 cards I made recently, both for birthdays. The first one is for my mom and the second was for my friend's 3 year old daughter.
